THE
BLACK POUND PAYS HOMAGE TO - SUNRISE
BAKERY |

Culture
and tradition are synonymous to each other. Without each other they
are weaker, together they become stronger, develop and expand. The
Black Pound believes how we spend our money is important and who
we support and promote. |
Businesses
which have contributed to the fabric of our culture and who have
also positioned themselves to sustain, promote, and maintain the
future for our traditions should be celebrated, and rewarded.
The
Black Pound has sought to contact this company as it has silently
provided our community throughout the UK with a product we all love
and have enjoyed for decades.
The
Black Pound pays homage to SUNRISE
BAKERY. Nestled in Smethwick, at this bakery has provided
the communities from the Lancashire district to Yorkshire, and the
midlands through to Bedfordshire encompassing all the communities
there in. |
The
delicious range of cakes and breads available are vast .The authentic
tastes of the cinnamon and spices precisely measured to create the
sweet spicy bun to name but one of their delicious ranges of products.
Sunrise Bakery have honed their craft, every bun feels and tastes
individual and never looses its texture or taste.
The
hard dough bread as we know it has many other names but we all know
it is one of our best kept secrets. We all know and understand why
this bread is unique. It has a brown/orange exterior which acts
like a skin as it is millimeters thick, the texture of the bread
itself is pure white, it has a soft dough like imagery almost similar
to inside of a Johnny cake but the hard dough bread has no air pockets
.It is soft pressed and almost sweet in taste.
Sunrise
Bakery have perfected the ingredients for hard dough bread with
a near perfect formula, to produce hard dough bread it mixed by
introducing the ingredients at given intervals, then the dough is
either plaited, cubed, or half moon in design before been placed
in there individual baking tin ready to be patiently proved, before
the baking is introduced.
Each
loaf is individually placed in a bag with the synonymous Sunrise
Bakery emblem printed on the centre of the bag and sealed. Finally
they are distributed to our local convenience store within their
delivery network which would receive their orders.
The
Sunrise Bakery has been in business since 1966. The ranges of cakes

The
Black Pound believes we should thank this wonderful company for
positioning themselves at the forefront of our traditions and culture.
These brands are our little piece of home as our parents would say.
As
children we would sit and listen to our parents tell us stories
about their lives “back a yard”, sometimes at bedtime
when they would offer us stories of home whilst we sipped our ovaltine
or Milo and enjoyed a slice of bun and cheese. This is why we must
support Sunrise Bakery and thank all the people involved in this
family.
The
Black Pound pays Homage to Sunrise Bakery and hope they continue
to provide us with their quality products long into the future.
THANK
YOU
